Chaos Theory in Psychology

Westport: Greenwood/Praeger. 1995.
A Compilation of Readings

These readings are mainly from participants of the lectures and symposia at the APA Centennial Conference sponsored by the Theory Division of APA (24) and the Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology, and from the Society's Annual Conference that same year. There are also invited participations of Ralph Abraham and Karl Pribram. There is a cohesive theme to the book despite the diversity of authors and subjects, and that is the emphasis on visual presentation and on the universal language and modeling strategy of dynamics. Basic theory and philosophical issues are emphasized in papers by Leibniz, F. Abraham, A.R. Gilgen, S. Goerner, W. W. Tryon, W. Freeman, and K. Pribram. A great variety of psychological domains, research, and speculation are covered.
